La Pulperie de Chicoutimi/Musée Régional
Nestled in beautiful industrial buildings dating back to the past century, this museum features the history of the local residents and is the host to numerous prestigious exhibitions. The house of painter, Arthur Villeneuve, is also located on-site in addition to many educational activities and summer theatre presentations. Beautiful hiking trails nearby the Chicoutimi River allow for enjoying the fresh outdoor air and walking in the footsteps of the workers of yesteryear.

Musée de la Petite Maison Blanche
Visit the famous Petite Maison Blanche (little white house) that withstood the flood of 1996. It represents the courage and determination of local residents and was transformed into a museum in 2005, providing the opportunity for everyone to visit this hundred year old house. Photographs, artifacts and models depict the story of this catastrophic event.

Musée du Fjord
In addition to these themed exhibitions, the Musée du Fjord are specialists in presenting science and discovery introducing the Saguenay Fjord and its environment in fun and interactive ways. Immerse yourself in a living laboratory with a giant saltwater aquarium. Touch starfish, sea cucumbers, sea urchins and other marine species that inhabit the aquatic touch tank. Participate in an immersive multimedia experience (presented in 5 languages: German, English, Spanish, French and Italian). Exciting outdoor excursions are available year-round

Bagotville Air Defence Museum
The Bagotville Air Defence Museum presents exhibits on the history of military aviation in Canada and is the only one solely based on fighter aircraft in Eastern Canada. Military aircraft are on display including the only MIG-23 in Canada. Guided tours are available during the summer allowing visitors to discover the base. You may even get the chance to see one of the CF-18's take off! Bilingual interpretive signs available on-site.

Centre d’histoire Sir-William-Price
This centre offers a permanent exhibit on the lives of the workers for the Price Brothers pulp and paper company (1930-1960). Learn more about colonization in Saguenay and end your tour with an interpretive tour through the neighborhoods of the managers and workers of the former company town of Kénogami.

Centre historique des Sœurs du Bon Conseil
A place of tranquility, beauty and spirituality. This congregation has kept many artifacts and memories from their history. It offers one of the most beautiful scenic vistas of the district of Chicoutimi and the Saguenay River. Guided tours available.

Musée de la Nature
The Musée de la Nature (natural history museum) was inspired by the spirit of discovery and the love for the local woodland areas. This unique museum conceals unique and unsuspected treasures, including the large sharks of the fjord you can literally touch. Over 3,000 examples are presented in a period home in the heart of the village.

Le Chevrier du Nord – Économusée de la lainerie
Chevrier du Nord is an artisan and family business that produces and processes mohair from angora goats for making handmade garments. It markets a thirty exclusive designs across Eastern Canada, in addition to spinning services. The know-how of these dedicated artisans will fascinate and amaze.

Verrerie d’art Touverre – Économusée
The glass sculptor, Giuseppe Benedetto, transforms two similar materials, one hot and the other cold. By visiting the Économusée du soufflage de verre et de la taille de la pierre fine (glassblowing and precious stone workshop museum) you'll be able to explore Mr. Benedetto's workshop. While glassblowing, he manipulates his cane and glass that is transformed into multicoloured vases, plates, animals or sculptures reminiscent of the regional influence. He saws, carves and polishes stones from here and abroad.

Interpretive Centres ▴
Centre culturel du Mont-Jacob
Housed under the same roof, the Centre national d’Exposition (no fee for admission), dedicated to visual arts and thematic exhibitions, in addition to the Salle Pierrette-Gaudreault, for the performing arts. Plays, concerts, shows and exhibitions are presented year-round. Located on Mont Jacob, its unique location offers magnificent views of the district of Jonquière.

Pyramide des Ha! Ha!
Following the 1996 flood, a group of citizens in the region constructed a spectacular reflective aluminum pyramid based on the design by artist Jean-Jules Soucy. Guided tours according to availability and bilingual interpretive signs.

Rivière-Éternité International Nativity Scene Exhibits
In summer and winter alike, Rivière-Éternité invites visitors to enjoy their international nativity scene exhibits. A reflection of our culture, the collection consists of unique pieces by artists and artisans from Québec, in addition to 55 other countries. In the village centre, admire the nativity scene perched atop the mountain, besides 11 additional nativity scenes on exhibit at the Parc municipal des Artistes. During winter, experience the magic of Christmas with 150 nativity scenes that illuminate the entire village.

CIMM (Marine mammal interpretive centre)
CIMM is operated by the Group for Research and Education on Marine Mammals (GREMM) who share their knowledge with visitors. Discover the wonderful world of whales! Many exhibits, films and interactive activities will ensure to keep you entertained.

CIBRO (Bird rehabilitation and mudflats interpretive centre)
An observation site and care centre for birds of prey along the fjord where you can closely admire these magnificent winged creatures. The Grand-Duc Sortilège welcomes you on-site where a thematic exhibition is presented. The tour continues along trails where several large aviaries accommodate birds in need of care at the centre.

Parc national des Monts-Valin Discovery and Visitor Centre
The permanent exhibit "Aux Frontières du Nord" (the northern borders) presents the main features of the Monts-Valin protected natural area. A model of the mountain range, a herbarium and multimedia presentations are available on-site for inspiring your taste for adventure. Nature Boutique: Souvenirs, clothing for kids and adults, adventure articles for youth and equipment for the great outdoors.

Belugas of the St. Lawrence and their habitat are the highlights of the exhibit's multifaceted and dynamic presentation.
